NO! This won't make peaches more expensive!

At work last night I was discussing the Russian invasion of Georgia and was amazed to find out that there were people in the lunch room that thought I was talking about the state of Georgia! Just to make sure everybody knows, Atlanta is safe, and there will not be a major increase in the price you pay for peaches due to any actions recently taken by Russia.
I want to take a moment to encourage everybody out there to stop and take a look at an atlas.
My gosh! If you have no idea that Georgia is a country after it has been the top news headline (next to the smog choked Olympics) for the past week then you need to get your head out of the sand and realize that there is a lot more going on in this world than just what's happening in your little corner of it. Things happen on a global scale that affect us either directly or indirectly. Current events are important matters to keep track of, if for no other reason than to understand others on this rock. Please, until the day you die, learn something new, everyday.
